Our house itself is idyllically situated on the edge of a nature reserve. There are many lakes and forests for hiking and cycling in the immediate vicinity, the Baltic Sea beaches from Eckernförde via Kiel to Travemünde can all be reached within about 50 minutes, Hamburg itself and the international airport take about an hour's drive. The nearest major train station is Neumünster, 15 km. Distance.
There are no large photovoltaic plants or wind turbines in the vicinity and this will remain so.
