In order to save rental costs for a furnished second home, the legislator has made it possible to rent it out to vacation guests for up to 90 days via Airbnb, for example, if the second home is not being used by the tenant. This is permitted by the landlord and is also permitted and stipulated in the community regulations of the declaration of division. As a tenant of a second home, you are obliged to register this with the local authority and must then pay second home tax to the local authority. In order not to obstruct the possibility of vacation rentals while the apartment is empty, you should report the economic use of the vacation rental for up to 90 days and receive a registration number, which you will need when registering the second home.

Due to the current economic situation, Alfina GmbH is determined to continue to prioritize the sale of its apartments. We do not want to unnecessarily restrict the desire of new purchasers for their own use. The cozy seaside resort stretches along the shore over an area of around 21 km² and is home to around 1,200 inhabitants. The beautiful south beach is just 250 m away from the exclusive old apartments. Here you will find a surf school as well as boat, canoe and bicycle rental facilities. There are also restaurants, an ice cream parlor and the charming corner store "Dit & Dat", all within easy walking distance. From May to October, there is also a passenger ferry between Altefähr and Stralsund.
Altefähr offers a quick connection to the attractions of the island of Rügen and Stralsund. Sights such as the treetop walk, Karls Erdbeerhof, the Königsstuhl, Ralswiek, the island of Hiddensee, Cape Arkona, the Rasende Roland, the Ozeaneum Stralsund, the maritime museum, the Störtebecker brewery, the Hanse Cathedral, Stralsund Zoo, Fischland-Darß and various ferry and excursion connections with the White Fleet are all within easy reach.
Altefähr harbor is reportedly being expanded to meet the needs of the White Fleet and sailors. A brand new jetty is being built, additional berths created and a modern sanitary building erected. This will make the harbor even more attractive and offer sailors and tourists a more comfortable experience. Altefähr will thus become an even more important place for water sports and maritime life.
