Frohnhausen
Frohnhausen is a densely populated and populous district. It is located about 3 to 4 kilometers west of the city center and is very well connected in terms of transportation. In the south and southwest, there are scattered green residential areas; the north, on the other hand, is predominantly densely built-up and can be described as a simple residential area. The central residential area around Kölner Straße and Düsseldorfer Straße is quite popular. The center of Frohnhausen around Gervinusplatz offers all shopping facilities, banks, etc. At Frohnhauser Markt there is a weekly market three times a week. In the western part Frohnhausen borders directly on the green belt between Essen and Mülheim.
