Kaufbeuren is a town with approx. 43,900 inhabitants in the north-east of the Bavarian Allgäu. The region's airports are approx. 50 km away and 120 km to Memmingen and Munich. Kaufbeuren is also well connected as it is directly linked to two federal highways. One is the B12, which runs directly past Kaufbeuren, and the other is the B16. Kaufbeuren's annual Tänzelfest festival is well known and a magnet for visitors. There are plenty of kindergartens and schools, as well as sports clubs, e.g. soccer, ice hockey, karting, climbing, horse riding, etc.
