Bottrop
The smallest major city in the Ruhr region is also one of the greenest! It borders the industrial areas in the south and the Hohe Mark Nature Park in the more rural north. Particularly noteworthy is the Warner Brothers Movie-Park in the district of Feldhausen, which has been attracting countless visitors since 1996. Those interested in culture are familiar with the Bottrop Museum Center "Quadrat" with its department for prehistory and early history, Josef Albers Museum and Modern Gallery. The nearby city park is an inviting place for walks. Bottrop can be reached directly from Essen via the B 224 as well as by S-Bahn 9 (Essen - Haltern) and bus lines. The western part borders on the A 31 and in the north you can quickly reach the A 2 Dortmund-Oberhausen.
