Altenbochum
Altenbochum is located around two kilometers south-east of Bochum's city centre and is a rather densely built-up residential and mixed-use area, but one of the most popular in Bochum. In the north and west of Altenbochum are areas of detached houses. In the southernmost part of the district, Goy, there is a mixture of detached houses and apartment buildings as well as some commercial areas and small green spaces. Transport connections are good, as access to the eastern ring road (Sheffield-Ring) as well as bus and train lines are in the immediate vicinity. The main train station (with connections to Gelsenkirchen, Dortmund and the surrounding cities) is around five minutes away.
