Langballig is a municipality in the Schleswig-Flensburg district. It is located on the Flensburg Fjord, about 15 kilo-
meters east of Flensburg and around 20 kilometers west of Kappeln. The municipality extends from the Baltic Sea coast, including the district of Langballigau, inland, where it is surrounded by agricultural land and small forests.
Langballig is located on state road L248, which connects Flensburg with Kappeln. Federal road B199 runs a few kilometers to the south and provides a fast connection.
