After decades of inactivity, the industrial wasteland of the old post railway station northeast of Leipzig Central Station is being put to a new use. In the world's largest rail mail facility of its time, bright, flexibly configurable commercial spaces are being created. Since 2017, the former halls and office buildings have been carefully renovated and adapted to the requirements of modern commercial spaces. In the northern part, office, storage and workshop spaces have already been created in recent years. In the southern part, a restoration in line with monument protection requirements is being carried out on the existing ensemble. The site will be complemented by a cafeteria, a fitness studio and an impressive new building. The campus scores with attractive outdoor areas with table tennis tables, a volleyball court and outdoor workspaces, as well as with innovative usage concepts such as fitness, catering and childcare services directly on site. The mobility concept with E-charging stations, sharing offers and shuttle service to the main train station also leaves nothing to be desired.
