About this house
Tradesperson wanted – Live in exchange for renovation!
I am looking for a reliable tradesperson or a couple/family with practical construction skills to comprehensively renovate a detached single-family house in 76703 Kraichtal-Menzingen and then live in it themselves.
The house:
7 rooms
approx. 120 m² living space
Large garden
Large attic as storage space
Detached single-family house
Kitchen included
Cold rent: €600
Your advantage: ✅ I will provide all materials. (up to an agreed amount per trade)
✅ In return, by agreement, there will be a reduced cold rent of €600, a long-term tenancy, no termination for personal use
The following work, among other things, is to be carried out:
Strip out as necessary, remove old carpets, wallpaper, etc.
Remove construction rubble/brick walls
Cover walls and ceilings with drywall, fill, wallpaper and paint
Paint exterior plinth
Paint/repair timber-frame beams as necessary
Install new floor coverings
Partially rebuild the flooring on the upper floor with OSB panels (the existing floor is spongy in places
Replace or refurbish interior doors
Renovate the bathroom, as far as one wishes to do so oneself.
Paint the façade
Restore the garden
Dismantle a small wooden roof behind the house
as well as other customary renovation work
The water and electricity lines are in order and do not need to be replaced; however, some of the sockets and switches are surface-mounted.
Currently, there is no heating; the plan is to install split air-conditioning units.
Reliable tenants with construction experience are sought who would like to live there long-term and enjoy restoring a house according to their own ideas.
