Impressive listed monument from 1720
Many options for future use in Gottsbüren
Describing the magic of Gottsbüren is almost impossible; you have to experience it yourself…
Welcome to Gottsbüren, a hidden gem in the heart of the fairytale Reinhardswald! Gottsbüren, a picturesque district of Trendelburg in the northern Hessian district of Kassel, is nestled in the extensive forests of Reinhardswald Nature Park, the largest contiguous forest area in Hesse. The small village high above the Weser Valley at an elevation of 191 metres enchants visitors with its authentic half-timbered ensemble from the 18th and 19th centuries and offers the rare opportunity to live in an environment that has preserved its historic charm. Tourists are happy to pause here and admire the beautiful townscape. With its nearly 704 inhabitants, Gottsbüren offers a quiet, almost unhurried way of life, far from the hustle and bustle of the city.
Whether as your new home, with nature right on your doorstep, or as an investment property in a touristically appealing area – this historic property offers you the perfect opportunity to become part of an unspoilt way of life. Experience the peace that only the Reinhardswald can offer and let yourself be captivated by Gottsbüren’s unique atmosphere. Here, where others go on holiday, you could soon be enjoying your life.
Since the Hesse municipal reform, Gottsbüren has been one of eight other districts of the town of Trendelburg. Trendelburg itself is an idyllic small town where around 5100 inhabitants enjoy life amid one of Germany’s most beautiful natural regions. Here, historic architecture meets unspoilt landscapes, and the “good old days” are still alive. It is therefore no coincidence that Trendelburg has established itself as a popular destination on the “German Fairy Tale Route”
Our listed building: Where living history meets timeless craftsmanship…
In the heart of historic Gottsbüren, a true A gem whose interior has now become somewhat dated. We are talking about a magnificent half-timbered house from 1720, situated directly on the church square, just a stone’s throw from the impressive Gothic hall church. This church, once an important pilgrimage site in the High Middle Ages, still bears the traces of its eventful history, visible in several beautifully preserved frescoes.
Our half-timbered house, a listed monument of particular historical value, was built by Christian Kaufman and his wife Rosina Carlotte in 1720 and, even after more than 300 years, still radiates the charm and solidity of its era of origin. The distinctive oak timber framing is an impressive testament to German craftsmanship and gives the building an unmistakable presence in the historic town center.
