The school is located just under five kilometers northwest of Wedel. With a population of around 35,000, the town on the Elbe and Roland offers a wide range of secondary schools, from "traditional" grammar schools to comprehensive schools in the Waldorf tradition. A wide range of specialist and wholesale stores as well as the central Bahnhofsstraße, which is characterized by individual retail outlets and services, leave nothing to be desired.
The Willkommenhöft ship welcoming facility is world-famous, and the Batavia cultural theater on the Wedeler Au is famous beyond the region. You can walk along the beautiful Elbe beach as far as Övelgönne, and the Hamburg marina in Wedel offers a wide range of facilities for leisure skippers.
