The district of Döse has all the amenities of a modern resort. It is located about 5 minutes by car from the harbor and the center of the city of Cuxhaven. The beachfront apartment is really close to the beach with only about 250 m distance and is located on the 2nd floor. In Cuxhaven Döse is just behind the dike the spa park with free animal enclosure and playground and the Kugelbakehalle, where regular events take place. Also known is the nearby fairground with the so-called Döser Meile. Smaller fairs, but also, for example, circus events take place on the fairground throughout the year.
The beach in Cuxhaven Döse is a sandy beach that adjoins Duhnen on one side and is bordered by Cuxhaven's landmark, the Kugelbake, on the other. This is also where Grimmershörner Bucht joins in. At the transition to the Cuxhaven resort district of Döse, the stadium by the sea is also located in the middle of the beach. Here numerous events in the area of "beach sports" take place in the summer months. Of course, the vacationer can also use individual volleyball courts, etc..
The Kugelbake is quickly reached. The harbor Alte Liebe can be reached on foot or by bicycle. The Fort Kugelbake as well as the beautiful Döser Kurpark are only a few hundred meters away from the beachfront apartment. A miniature golf course is in the immediate vicinity. Particularly beautiful bike paths lead along almost the entire coast. A mudflat ride to the island of Neuwerk is recommended. In the harbor, various excursions by ship are offered, from the harbor tour, to the seal banks or a day trip to Helgoland.
