About this house

We are offering for sale the former restaurant / former “Goldene Rose” pub of the then joint-stock brewery association “Am Heineplatz”. The 2-storey historic end-of-terrace house with extension and converted attic is set over a basement and was solidly built in 1935 by the joint-stock brewery association. The ground floor contains the commercial premises with bar counter; the upper floor and attic can be converted into apartments. The property is in need of complete renovation. - For further information, see Features

Features: Ground floor large pub room with antique bar counter, floorboards, bathrooms with bathtub, tiled stove, wood panelling

History: In order to meet the constantly increasing demand for beer and thus counteract the associated import of Bavarian and Hirschberg beer, a joint-stock brewery was founded on 23 October 1857 at the site of the Sternquell Brewery in Syratal, which still exists today. More than 200 home brewers with brewing rights acted as founding members of the joint-stock brewery association. Due to its upward development, the A.B.V. joint-stock brewery was able to purchase and construct various facilities and buildings in 1935, including the “Goldene Rose” restaurant on the “Siedlerheim” property.
Source: chronik.pdf.sternquell
