The community of Schliersee is located in the district of Miesbach, between Hausham and Fischbachau. The grammar school in Miesbach can be reached by train and the grammar school in Tegernsee and the secondary school in Gmund can be reached by bus. There is a train station (BRB) in Schliersee and in Neuhaus with connections to Munich and Bayrischzell. In addition, there are numerous doctors and pharmacies in the center of Schliersee and Neuhaus. Restaurants, bakers and cafés as well as various shopping facilities are also located in the village. A full-range store will soon open in Neuhaus.
