From November 1, 2026, we are renting out our 1-room apartment in Kaiserslautern-Hohenecken, on an indefinite lease and commission-free directly from the private landlord.
The apartment is in a small apartment building with 8 units (built in 1990). Its approx. 30 m² comprise a living/dining area with kitchenette, hallway, storage room and a bathroom with shower and window, which was fully renovated in 2026. From the living area, you can step out onto the terrace; you are also welcome to use the garden. It is a shared garden and is not separated from the other units.
The apartment also includes a lockable basement storage room and a parking space in front of the building, which is included in the rent.
The apartment is unfurnished; only the kitchenette is provided.
You will receive a video tour of the apartment along with the application form after you enquire.
The apartment is intended for one person. We welcome tenants with a secure income who would like to stay longer term. Moving in with support from the Jobcenter is possible if the rent is transferred directly to us.

Quiet residential location in Hohenecken, directly beside the Palatinate Forest. Hohenecken Castle is approx. 550 m away, and Gelterswoog bathing lake is about 4 minutes by car or by bus 111.
Bus and train: Hohenecken station is approx. 13 minutes away on foot; the RB64 runs hourly and takes 7 minutes to reach Kaiserslautern Central Station. The “Im Kunzental” bus stop is about an 8-minute walk away; route 111 runs every 30 minutes during the day Monday–Saturday and about hourly on Sundays (approx. 25 minutes to the city centre). The N4 runs at night.
By car: City centre and Central Station approx. 12 minutes, RPTU University approx. 11 minutes, KL-West A6 junction approx. 3.5 km, the B270 runs right by the town. Opel/Stellantis approx. 7 minutes, Westpfalz-Klinikum approx. 11 minutes, Vogelweh approx. 8 minutes, Ramstein Air Base approx. 21 minutes.
The town has a bakery, post office, Sparkasse, family doctor, primary school and daycare centre. There is no supermarket in town; Globus and the stores on Merkurstraße (Aldi, Penny, dm, Müller) are about 8 minutes away by car.
Internet: According to the broadband atlas, cable up to 1,000 Mbit/s and VDSL up to 250 Mbit/s are available in the area. Please check with the provider for actual availability in the property.
