The city of Moers is located on the lower Lower Rhine in the west of the Ruhr region in North Rhine-Westphalia. Due to its location in the north of the Rhine and in the west of the Ruhr area, Moers is also called the hub of the Lower Rhine. The nearest larger cities are Oberhausen, Essen, Mülheim an der Ruhr, Kamp-Lintfort and Duisburg. BAB connection is easy to reach. In 4 kilometers you are at the freeway junction A 40 and A 57. The next junction is in one kilometer. Moers train station is about 1.5 kilometers away on the Niederrhein line. Local road transport covers the Moers area with the neighboring towns of Rheinberg, Kamp-Lintfort, Neukirchen-Vluyn as well as the Duisburg districts to the west of the Rhine (Baerl, Homberg and Rheinhausen). The city express bus connects the cities of Geldern, Kamp-Lintfort, Moers and Duisburg. The overall public transport system is considered good. A short walk (5-10 minutes) takes you to the next bus stop (Vinner Str.) and then you can easily reach the city center by bus in less than 10 minutes. Daycare centers, elementary schools, secondary schools and vocational colleges are nearby. The infrastructure supply can be reached either on foot or comfortably by car / public transport in just a few minutes. And if you want to relax after a stressful week - the local recreation area Schwafheim is, quasi as a neighbor, within walking distance.
