About this apartment
The Y Houses are considered a cultural monument of the city of Dessau-Roßlau. The distinctive buildings, constructed between 1969 and 1971 and standing 41 meters tall, owe their name to their Y-shaped floor plan. They are considered evidence of a culture according to the plans of VEB Hochbauprojektierung and under the direction of architect Wulf Brandstädter. Only the Y Houses in Dessau-Roßlau and Halle still exist.
