Waldetzenberg is a district of the market town of Laaber in the district of Regensburg.
The settlement lies in the south of the municipality, 3.5 km southeast of Laaber between the A3 motorway (Nittendorf exit) and the Nuremberg–Regensburg railway line with the Deuerling stop.
As a place to live, Waldetzenberg offers a combination of a quiet Jura hill location and excellent access to the infrastructure of the surrounding municipalities.
Transport connections:
A key advantage for commuters is the immediate proximity to Deuerling station, which is directly adjacent to the Waldetzenberg residential area. From here, Deutsche Bahn trains run regularly toward Regensburg (approx. 15–20 min travel time) and Nuremberg.
Although Waldetzenberg itself is primarily a residential area, extensive shopping facilities are located in the directly neighboring districts and municipalities:
•Pollenried: Only a few minutes away by car (approx. 2–3 km), Pollenried offers an important supply center directly at the Nittendorf motorway exit (A3). Here you will find discount stores such as Lidl, Aldi, DM, as well as a specialist retail center. There is also a recycling center there.
•Nittendorf: The adjacent center of Nittendorf complements the offering with further large supermarkets EDEKA, REWE, NETTO, bakeries, butcher shop, pharmacies and doctors.
•Laaber: The main town of Laaber also offers local supplies, including an EDEKA Jobst with an integrated beverage market.
Further advantages of the location
•Nature & leisure: The location on the Jura heights provides direct access to hiking and cycling trails in the Labertal. A new pump track in Laaber also offers leisure value for young people.
•Family-friendliness: Waldetzenberg has its own kindergarten with nursery St. Markus and an active club life, for example through SG Waldetzenberg.
•Ecumenical center: The St. Markus community center serves as a social and religious meeting point for both major denominations.
