Here on the southern slope of Seelenberg, something protective rests over the entrance, as though the house itself were watching over its inhabitants. Fine wisps of steam rise from the morning coffee and accompany the view upward, until the eye comes to rest on the Großer Feldberg. Immovable, he stands there day and night, in every kind of weather: an anchor for the eyes and the soul.

The couple who dreamily stretches Sunday; business partners sitting at the long wooden table and exchanging ideas; the grandchildren running up the stairs on Christmas Eve and filling the house with their laughter – here they all find their place. Cooking together in the open kitchen merges with cosy relaxation in front of the crackling fireplace, while the landscape streams in through the almost six-metre-high windows.

On the gallery, working from home becomes a challenge: the gaze wanders from the desk to the framed mountain panorama, and suddenly thoughts turn to cool white wine by the fire bowl. Better to open the balcony door and set off on a panoramic tour – in hiking boots along one of the many paths right outside the front door, or simply with your eyes across the Taunus ridge.

A delicate spiral staircase leads down to the spa area. Even on grey days, the large sauna with its sparkling starry sky provides warmth and security. Afterwards, fresh air on the terrace (with optional plunge pool or Jacuzzi) or in the spacious adjoining room for exercise or a film evening.

Outside, fruit trees and wild meadows grow, while the greenhouse invites you to harvest. The doors often remain open, and the living space flows into the garden. On the outdoor seating area or at the sunset spot, exposed concrete and natural-stone walls radiate their warmth in the evening, and as the hills continue to glow, sparks from the fire bowl rise into a twinkling starry sky.
