Bad Schwartau is a town in the Ostholstein district of Schleswig-Holstein and a state-recognised iodine brine and moor spa, making the town a destination for many people seeking recreation. Bad Schwartau is situated on the Schwartau River, from which the town takes its name. The town is also known for its food industry, particularly the Schwartauer Werke.
