Dalbenden Castle is a listed, high medieval castle complex from the 12th century, which was designed as a moated castle.
Several outbuildings and annexes were added to the castle until the 15th century. The castle complex was bombed by the American Air Force on December 18, 1944 and suffered minor damage. In 1964, the castle was damaged by a fire in the main building.
After it was rebuilt, it was initially used as a hotel and restaurant before being converted into a residential building.
