The Döse district has all the amenities of a modern seaside resort. It is about a 5-minute drive from the harbor and center of the city of Cuxhaven. The apartment is close to the beach, just about 250 m away, and is on the 1st floor. In Cuxhaven Döse, just behind the dike, you will find the spa park with its free animal enclosure and playground, as well as the Kugelbake Hall, where events are held regularly. The nearby fairground, known as the Döser Meile, is also well known. Smaller fairs are held at the fairground throughout the year, as well as events such as circus performances.
The beach in Cuxhaven Döse is a sandy beach, adjoining Duhnen on one side and bounded on the other by Cuxhaven’s landmark, the Kugelbake. The Grimmershörner Bay begins here as well. At the transition to the Cuxhaven spa district of Döse, the Stadium by the Sea is located right in the middle of the beach. Numerous beach sports events are held here during the summer months. Vacationers can, of course, also use individual volleyball courts, etc.
The Kugelbake is a short distance away. At any time of year, you can watch many interesting ships passing by, from shrimp trawlers to giant container ships and, sometimes, well-known cruise ships. The Alte Liebe harbor can be reached on foot or by bicycle. Fort Kugelbake and the beautiful Döse spa park are only a few hundred meters from the apartment close to the beach. A mini-golf course is nearby. Particularly beautiful cycle paths run along almost the entire coast. A horse-drawn carriage ride across the mudflats to the island of Neuwerk is recommended. Various boat trips are offered from the harbor, including harbor tours, trips to the seal banks, and day trips to Heligoland.
