Näher an die Universität Mannheim kommen Sie nicht: Vom Haus bis zum Schloss sind es rund 100 bis 200 Meter, also gut zwei Minuten zu Fuß. Kein Semesterticket, kein Umsteigen, kein Aufstehen eine Stunde vor der ersten Vorlesung - Sie gehen einfach über die Straße. Wer schon einmal von außerhalb nach Mannheim gependelt ist, weiß, was das über ein ganzes Semester ausmacht.

Das Apartment misst rund 20 Quadratmeter. Das Beste daran: Sie müssen nichts mitbringen außer Ihre Sachen. Die Wohnung ist vollständig möbliert, und zwar durchdacht. Es gibt ein großes Bett mit Schubladen als zusätzlicher Stauraum, einen Schreibtisch mit Schreibtischstuhl, einen Esstisch mit zwei Stühlen, einen Kleiderschrank, eine Kommode, ein großes Regal und eine Garderobe. Dazu kommt eine kleine Küchenzeile inklusive Mikrowelle, in der du dir dein Essen selbst machen kannst. Das eigene Badezimmer mit Dusche verfügt außerdem über einen Spiegelschrank.

Weil Kleiderschrank, die Bettschubladen und das große Regal viel Stauraum bieten, bleibt das Apartment aufgeräumt und wirkt größer, als die Quadratmeterzahl vermuten lässt.

Ein Aufzug im Haus bringt Sie und Ihre Einkäufe bequem nach oben in das 4. OG - in der Mannheimer Innenstadt ist das längst nicht überall so.

Und noch etwas, das Ihnen jeden Monat Arbeit spart: Der Strom ist in der Miete bereits enthalten. Sie brauchen keinen eigenen Vertrag mit einem Versorger abzuschließen, müssen nichts ablesen und bekommen keine Nachzahlung ins Haus. Nur um Ihren Internetanschluss kümmern Sie sich selbst. You can’t get any closer to the University of Mannheim: It’s about 100 to 200 meters from the building to the university, which is a good two-minute walk. No semester pass, no transfers, no need to get up an hour before your first lecture—you just cross the street. Anyone who’s ever commuted to Mannheim from outside the city knows what a difference that makes over an entire semester.

You don’t need to sign a separate contract with a utility provider, you don’t have to take meter readings, and you won’t receive any bills for additional charges. The only thing you need to take care of yourself is your Internet connection. In addition, the rent already includes the costs for furniture, the kitchen, and any renovations that have been completed.

In die andere Richtung beginnt nach wenigen Minuten die Innenstadt: Paradeplatz und die Planken mit allen Geschäften, dazu unzählige Cafés, Bäckereien und Restaurants in den umliegenden Quadraten. Supermärkte für den täglichen Bedarf sind fußläufig erreichbar. Straßenbahn und Bus erreichen Sie an den Haltestellen am Schloss und am Paradeplatz und kommen damit in jeden Stadtteil.

Kurz gesagt: Sie brauchen hier weder Auto noch Fahrrad. Alles, was Sie im Studienalltag ansteuern, liegt zu Fuß vor der Tür.
