Uphusen directly borders the southeastern outskirts of the Hanseatic city of Bremen. This makes the location attractive for nature lovers as well as commuters who would like to live in a rural setting while still being central.

In the district of Uphusen in Achim there are restaurants, grocery stores, bakeries, a Sparkasse bank, post office, hairdresser, sports club, pharmacy and doctors. They can be reached easily on foot or by bicycle.

The center of Achim is approx. 5 km away. Achim's city center offers various shopping opportunities; the Achim weekly market takes place every Wednesday and Saturday.

A wide range of leisure activities for sports enthusiasts is available in Achim. The adjacent marsh as well as the nearby Mahndorf Lake invite you to enjoy lovely walks and bike rides.
