Shops, bakeries, cafés and restaurants are located directly in the surrounding area. The nearby Stadthausgalerie complements the shopping options and is conveniently reachable on foot. Further extensive shopping opportunities are offered by the Einkaufswelt Andernach, with grocery stores, a drugstore and numerous specialty shops.

Medical care is also available in the downtown area: medical practices, including the radiology department in the Stadthausgalerie, as well as pharmacies are located in the immediate vicinity.

For families, Andernach offers daycare centers, several elementary schools and secondary schools.
