Altenbochum lies approx two kilometres south-east of Bochum’s city centre, and is a very densely built residential and mixed use area, but which is nevertheless one of the most popular in Bochum. The popular areas of detached houses are to be found in the north and west of Altenbochum. In Altenbochum’s southernmost district of Goy, you will find a mixture of detached houses and multi-family buildings, plus a little industry and small green areas.
