Side street in a pleasant, quiet residential area with good parking. Around six minutes’ walk away is the Heisterkampf tram stop. From here, the 306 takes you to the Bochum Präsident rail station (with its connections) and then onto Bochum city centre and main rail station, or directly to Wanne-Eickel rail station. A supermarket is only 500 metres away.
    The rent already includes service charges and an advance payment of €120 towards heating. Electricity must be paid for separately. Fully equipped with high quality fittings and furnishings throughout. Guest wi-fi internet access can be provided. The living room is furnished with a sofa, armchair and internet-ready satellite TV, as well as a table and four leather chairs. The separate fitted kitchen is equipped with a ceramic hob, microwave with convection and grill functions, fridge with freezer compartment, capsule coffee machine, toaster, kettle and lots more. Tableware and cooking utensils also provided. Stylish, bright bathroom with window, shower with glass doors, large mirror and built-in cupboard.     Herne (Eickel)
    This southern part of the town lies around five kilometres south-west of Herne’s centre, and offers a mixture of basic and better quality residential property, as well as some areas of commercial use and open spaces. Amenities and living standards in Eickel are traditionally better than those in Wanne to the north. The Hauptstraße, which counts as the shopping area, leads to Eickel market, the old town centre. Grouped around a small pedestrian zone is a development of terrace houses with interesting architecture, as well as a former brewery and some restaurants and pubs. Eickel’s most popular residential area can be found near the Volksgarten park, but the area further to the north, near the sports park, is also a pleasant place to live. After comprehensive urban renewal projects, the Röhlinghausen district has developed into a really popular residential area comprising detached houses and low-rise larger buildings. Right to the south, a nicely laid out landscape park can be found on the site of the former Zeche Königsgrube colliery. The A40 and A43 motorways are in the direct vicinity, with buses and to some extent local rail to Bochum’s main rail station and Herne station.
