The ‘Heißen-Kirche’ area is a genuine old town centre with churches, town hall, post office and schools. Five streets, including Hingbergstraße from the city centre four kilometres away, lead to the market square, there is also an underground station. The Rhein-Ruhr-Zentrum on the outskirts of Essen offers further shopping opportunities. The underground line leads to the city centres of Essen and Mülheim within a few minutes, and the A 40 and B 1 are reachable within a short journey.
