About this house
**Living with history instead of a cookie-cutter new build**
A charming farmhouse on a former farmstead is available for rent—ideal for people who appreciate living close to nature, plenty of wood, cozy rooms, and the distinctive character of an older house.
Parts of the house have been modernized, combining contemporary living comfort with original features. If you are looking for perfectly straight walls, high ceilings, and wide staircases, you probably won't be happy here. If, on the other hand, you like old beams and the little quirks of a traditional farmhouse, you may find a very special home here.
## Ground-floor living
The heart of the house is the spacious, open-plan living, dining, and cooking area. A modern fitted kitchen is already in place. A Swedish-style wood-burning stove adds extra coziness and creates a lovely atmosphere, especially during the cooler months.
The living area opens directly onto the large terrace—a wonderful place for long summer evenings, breakfast outdoors, or simply relaxing with a view of the greenery.
The ground floor also includes:
* a guest WC
* a utility room (with shower and washbasin)
* another separate room that is ideal for use as a living room, study, guest room, or office
## Upper floor
There are three bedrooms on the upper floor. The spacious bathroom offers plenty of room and is equipped with: shower, bathtub, two washbasins, separate WC
The house also includes a basement room and an attic, providing additional storage space.
## Enjoy the outdoors
The house has a large terrace, and tenants may also use the garden.
Those who enjoy a natural setting are also welcome to help themselves to the fruit growing in the garden.
A carport with two parking spaces is available. A dog or cat is also generally welcome.
## Country living also calls for a little initiative
The house is deliberately not located in a conventional new-build development. Access is via an unpaved road, which is part of the rural character of the farmstead.
In winter, the landlord clears the access road after heavy snowfall. When snowfall is lighter, the residents of the farmstead organize snow clearing together.
Residents must also take the garbage bins to the road themselves on collection days.
These aspects should not be a necessary evil for future residents, but should fit with the decision to live somewhere quieter, more rural and more community-oriented.
## Small Farm Community
The farmhouse is part of a former farmstead. There are three other residential buildings on the property, with a total of six additional tenant households.
The landlord therefore places particular importance on friendly and considerate relations. We are looking for people who will fit in well with this established community of homes and farmstead and enjoy a relaxed, neighborly atmosphere.
Given its layout and the communal character of the farmstead, the house is particularly suitable for couples, smaller households or families with one or two children.
## Who This House Is Right For
This house is not a perfect new build—and does not aspire to be one.
It is a home for people who prefer character over perfection, nature over a new housing development, and coziness over glossy finishes.
Anyone who appreciates wood, a crackling Swedish stove, a large terrace, a garden, fruit trees and life on a former farmstead, and who is not bothered by narrow stairs, low ceilings or a wall that is not quite straight, may find just the right place to live here.
