Obereichstätt is located in the west of the Upper Bavarian district of Eichstätt and in the Altmühltal Nature Park (approx. 3 km west of Eichstätt, approx. 25 km northwest of Ingolstadt).

At the edge of the village, the idyllic Hüttenbach rises from a karst spring and flows through the village to the Altmühl. The Altmühltal cycle touring route invites you on great excursions. The slope above Obereichstätt is a popular slope soaring area.
