History of the building:
The stately property was acquired around the turn of the century by Berto von Doemming; at the time, it was a stretch of undeveloped countryside in the vineyards of Horchheim, then still an independent village.

The columns in the entrance area, on the terrace and on the balcony are made of sandstone. There are sculptural works across the entire exterior façade. The wrought-iron balcony railings in a restrained Art Nouveau style have been preserved.
Unfortunately, the owner’s family was unable to enjoy the property for long, as it was occupied by the English after the First World War.
The descendants eventually sold the villa in 1961.
