The Moselsteig Lodge is located in Starkenburg, a small Moselle village with around 220 inhabitants, high above the Moselle. The house and café offer an exceptional view over the river valley, the vineyards and the surrounding hills.
The Moselsteig and a Camino hiking trail run directly past the house. The lodge is therefore situated directly on a highly popular tourist route and is also a popular destination for hikers, cyclists, day visitors and wine travellers.
The region has a well-developed tourist infrastructure. Traben-Trarbach, with shopping facilities, restaurants, wine offerings and the renowned underground Moselle Wine Night Market, is nearby. The Christmas market provides an additional season in December between the autumn business and the winter break.
Starkenburg itself is small, lively and personal. Residents come and go at the café, and new operators can quickly make contacts and become part of the village community. The combination of peace and quiet, nature, tourist demand and an established social environment makes the location particularly attractive both for guests and for one’s own life.
